John Campbell and Kira Turton from Wyndham Rotary took part in a book translation workshop at Baden Powell College.
Parents, teachers and Rotarians translated books into six different languages. The translated material was pasted onto the existing pages so that non english readers can read in their language and learn english.
Baden Powell College has over 60 different language groups with many people disconnected from the community due to lack of confidence with the English language.
Those that came along have produced material that will help hundreds of children and families read to their young ones in the home.
This was an inspiring workshop and provided connections that will make a difference to many people within our community.
