Fun Run
St Patrick's Day had an extra special vibe at the Wyndham Rotary Funrun at Chirnside Park in gorgeous sunshine.

Feedback received has indicated that a testament to the event was the organisation, friendliness shown to people as they came to register, information provided about the course, support for participants along the way and final acknowledgement at the end.
Despite issues with the walking course being unavailable, and all events conducted on the one course, feedback from participants, whether they were serious runners or casual walker, that this had no impact on their enjoyment and satisfaction of the event.

Full credit to everyone who worked on this event.  In particular, Sue for her work with sponsorship, Eddie and Darrell for the course logistics, Jeanette and Jill for all of the spot prizes that they secured, and all who helped on the day.  The club is enormously grateful to Peter for the leadership he showed prior to and during the implementation of the event.

A more comprehensive report will be shared in a later bulletin.

Our Speaker
We were fortunate to have a great talk from our visitor from the Koshika Foundation and their commitment to improving eye care and children's heart care in various parts of India.

In Delhi, two hospitals do some amazing work conducting free eye surgeries for those most in need.

They demonstrated the systems implemented to ensure that only those in need were benefiting from the foundation.

The organisation was seeking sponsorship, and at the moment, organised 500 free eye surgeries every month.  Wyndham Rotary is considering how best we can support this foundation by tapping into Rotary Foundation funds.
