Students value Rotary youth program

Two students from Year-9 at Manor Lakes P-12 College have taken the memories and contacts they made at youth weekend camp back to their school and families. Both girls were obviously enthusiastic about their experience and how they can apply some of the things they learned. Manor Lakes P-12 College is in interesting phase of its development as the current Year-9 students will be the senior students for another three years as the school progressively builds to its full scope of year levels. Our Rotary club was very keent invest in these students as they are setting the standards for the students who will follow them. The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) aims to give students the confidence to stand out and trust their values and views. Co-ordinator, of Youth Programs in the Rotary Club, Heather Willson, said it was important for Rotary to help raise up high quality young leaders in the newer suburbs like Wyndham Vale where many oung people are coming together for the first time. Wyndham Rotary Club is keen to hear from local students (and their parents) who are interested in attending a RYPEN camp and more details are available at the RYPEN website (click here for details)
